BECKET 1973
Unfortunately there are no pictures of 'Becket'.
It was my first duo and we played mainly the 'cabaret' circuit using agency's to obtain work.
Sharing the duo with me was Dave Jeffreys, who at the time lived just a couple of houses away from me. (Pic)

It was a definate change of musical 'style' for both of us. Our set was all 'accoustic' type material of the day.
ie. (Simon and Garfunkle / James Taylor / Crosby, Stills and Nash)
It had to be because in those days there was no 'midi' type backings and so we ventured out without
bass and drums, playing our 12 string guitars and singing in harmony.
We did two half hour sets and had a lot of fun as I recall.
We worked frequently and travelled the South of England.
(BIG MISTAKE: I sold my '64 Fender strat (£90!!) to enable me to buy a 12 string accoustic ... would you believe???)
The duo was short lived however, I missed being in a band and Dave moved away to Maidstone, we lost touch.
About eight years ago we met by sheer chance again at a 'Hank Marvin' musicians guitar convention at
Whitstable. We stayed in touch for a while. Dave performs as a solo act and goes under the name of 'Dave Bliss'.
He sold up in the UK a few years ago and now lives and performs in Tenerife.
