BRUCE WINTERS, SOLO 1999 - present day......
Bob Lee and I as 'No Justice' finished up on January 1st 1999. I decided to go 'solo'. Bob now gigs in a duo with Mick Gold (ex Now n'Then / Network) and they are a called 'Top Gear'. Since going solo these last eight years I've produced tapes, CD's and written and recorded some original material. Including a'Live..On Stage' DVD which is now available at my venues. 2006 : My new LEM P.A. sound system was supplied by MUSIC BAY, Herne bay. In 2004 I bought a 'limited edition' 50th anniversary 'sunburst' Fender Stratocaster produced to celebrate Fender's half century production of the first Strat in 1954. Leo Fender designed and built his original solid bodied electric guitar 'The Broadcaster' way back in 1947. For the use of country artists playing live on the radio in America. (He then had to rename it 'The Squire' after recieving a copyright threat from a drum company who already had a kit called 'The Broadcaster'.) When TV came along he modified it, adding another pick-up and the legendary 'Telecaster' was born. When space exploration started in the early 50's, Leo designed and produced 'The Stratocaster', ..the rest is history....) In 2006 I decided to buy the '60th' anniversary Strat as well, lovely guitar, it reminds me of my old 64 model that I sold way back in 1973..pity! In 2007 the latest 'pride n joy' is my new Gibson Les Paul standard.
On April this year I 'became of age.'. which means I now only play for my own enjoyment whilst still getting paid. My 'retirement' means I wont be playing so much, and I can afford to be more choosy where I perform. Thank god for the 'no smoking ban'..! (A
bit too late for some people..) |
